The ultimate slow-cooked lamb shawarma
Served with a lemon-herb couscous and mint yoghurt
I made this Slow Cooker Lamb Shawarma for my friends the other week and it was so yum. I love slow-cooked meals - they’re just so easy. You throw it on in the morning and don’t have to think about it again until dinner. It’s the ultimate low-effort, high-reward kind of cooking.
Slow cooking also helps break down the connective tissues in meat, making it easier to digest while still retaining all the goodness - especially if you’re using bone-in cuts rich in collagen and minerals.
I served the lamb with a lemon-herb couscous and a super simple mint yoghurt on the side. It all worked so well together! Full recipe for the lamb is below.
